Sarasota Wedding The Founder’s Club Melissa + Joel

This wedding celebration in Sarasota was very dear to my heart. I met Melissa and Joel in Israel 2 years ago while I was attending the wedding of one of my close high school friends Solomon. While we were on this epic trip Melissa and Joel decided to make their intentions for one another known. They transitioned from friends to instant soul mates right before my eyes and it was grand. As a new photographer with an awesome new camera that my father gave me I had the privilege to take their first official photo as a couple on that trip.

As life went on, I received a surprise email from Melissa asking if I could be the photographer for their wedding celebration in Sarasota since the official ceremony was in Joel’s country of origin Singapore. With no hesitation I said yes! We formed a special bond on that trip touring Israel from the borders of Syria and Lebanon. I was truly honored and excited to be around them again.

The sky was full of clouds as family and loved ones made their way to Melissa’s childhood church to prepare for the ceremony. This is the same church that Melissa’s parents were married in which made the ceremony even more special.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Founders Club. The Founder’s club is a golf course littered with cascading trees and winding wooden walkways. Melissa and Joel cleverly infused the Florida Orange as the main theme for their wedding. It was divine! The night developed sweetly as Joel serenaded his bride and Melissa danced the night away dressed in a traditional Singaporean dress. The lovely couple put a nice little exclamation mark on the day with a sparkler exit. Truly an excellent end to an excellent celebration.
