Amy + Emilio | Married La Casa de Las Sirenas Mexico City

You would think that studying at the oldest most prestigious university in the United States would be joy enough for anyone, imagine finding the love of your life there on top of it! That’s what I call winning! Amy + Emilio met at Harvard University‘s Graduate Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts.   Amy from Phoenix majored in US History Education  + Emilio from Mexico majored in Economics.   After the proposal, Emilio made one request. He requested to have the ceremony in the heart of his hometown Mexico City, Mexico.  Close family members and friends flew in from Phoenix, Arizona and other parts of the US and the world to see this lovely couple exchange vows at La Casa de Las Sirenas located on a side street of the Mexico City’s famous Zocalo.

After a stellar ceremony, while their guests proceeded to the reception, the couple and I got to walk through the colorful streets of the Zocalo. The couple greeted the street vendors and waved at tourists wishing the happy couple joy from their tour buses.  Before rain clouds had a chance to form we took pictures in front of Mexico City’s most prominent and historic buildings. The day was full of laughter, Mariachi bands, and vibrant Mexican culture. Congratulations to Amy + Emilio!
